Thanks to a John Russell Applegate Grant Cheryl and Catherine (ESU 16 CPI Instructors) were able to get recertified in CPI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.) Every two years CPI Instructors have to go through a renewal training. Our intentions were to host the in-person training at ESU 16 in Ogallala but with our current situation, CPI created an online training in which we had live teleconferencing sessions. Catherine is completing the training this week and Cheryl will be attending in late May. There have been updates to CPI so we are excited to share those in our trainings!

Cheryl and Catherine are hoping that CPI training will resume this Fall we will keep our ESU 16 school districts updated once we know more! We will be exploring alternative ways to provide this training if social distancing is still occurring come Fall!

To learn more about CPI please visit their website or reach out to Catherine or Cheryl!
