Biting
Children might engage in negative behavior, like biting, to let you know how they feel when they do not have the skills to express themselves. It’s a common behavior that should be addressed immediately. Parents can watch and learn when their child is likely to bite.

Children are naturally curious and interested in insects. Most people like ladybugs because they are pretty. Farmers like ladybugs because they eat aphids and other plant-eating pests. A meltdown is an escalated moment in that parents often find themselves trying to teach rules or give long explanations. Unfortunately, your child usually does not even hear your words let alone learn the rules when they are having a meltdown. We can use the many calm and happy moments in our day to intentionally teach expectations, rules, and skills that will help our child to be successful and reduce challenging behavior.

Hitting and Pushing

Following Directions
Do you ever get the feeling your children are not listening to you and it becomes upsetting? Children may not follow directions because they didn’t hear you or were distracted, or you gave too many directions at one time, or you made a suggestion instead of a direction. Chances that your child will listen and successfully follow your directions increase when you make sure that your direction is clearly stated. #fitandhealthykids

Malicious QR Codes in Public Places Used in Theft -- There are reports of scammers in Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States placing official-looking forms containing malicious quick response (QR) codes in public places. Following the malicious QR code leads to either a download site for a malicious third-party application or a lookalike payment website. In either case, the attacks ultimately lead to the theft of funds from a victim’s bank account. Be aware, scan with care!

Proofpoint is a cybersecurity training program used by many schools statewide. Their researchers have identified widespread phishing attacks using a malicious link that, when clicked on, leads to a blank webpage and the installation of a JavaScript file. Running the file leads to the installation of a Remote Access Trojan (RAT). This tool can grant attackers access and control over an affected computer. Be aware, click with care!
