A hard of hearing student can have a hard time keeping up with the conversation during a group activity especially when everyone is talking at the same time. Please inform your students to each take a turn and make sure the hearing impaired student is looking at them before they start talking.

Happy National School Counseling Week!
ESU 16 want to thank all School Counselors! You all do such a terrific job and students, families, and staff are so lucky to have you! Make sure to tell your school counselors how much you appreciate them!! Even better give them a social distance hug!!!

Happy Birthday!!

When you are communicating with a Deaf or hard of hearing person, please remember face coverings block visual cues and muffle sounds that help them understand speech, which can make interactions frustrating.
